Good things are happening. My husband and I are moving to Nashville, TN and the practice is coming with me! I will be continuing to offer Telehealth and work with clients from the state of Arizona and North Carolina, and I will be taking in-person and Telehealth clients from Tennessee in the next few months (stay tuned). I have already been blown away by the response of my clients and colleagues who understand this is a good thing for my family. Thank you — you don’t know what your support means to me.
Business updates—
I will be retaining my Arizona license to practice, which means that providing Telehealth services to you moving forward is no problem, as long as it continues to be a clinically sound decision by me, and if it feels right for you.
My hours will be shifting slightly; Nashville is on Central Time. My hours will likely look closer to 7/8am to 1/2:00 pm MST Monday through Thursday.
Why we are moving —
My husband and I are both from Alabama, and nearly all of our family lives in the southeast. We initially moved to Phoenix for my husband to go to graduate school at ASU. We fell in love with the southwest, our new community, and our jobs, so we’ve stuck around. Though we have loved it here the last 5 years, we have always known ultimately we wanted to move closer to “home” and family. Family and community are the most important things to me, which is why I became a therapist! So, when my husband recently got a great job opportunity in Nashville, we decided to deeply consider it. After mulling it over, we have come to believe that Nashville feels like a really good fit for us — and it is also located within 5 hours of our moms. So, we’ve decided to make the move.
Leaving the west—
Though we are very happy with this decision, if I’m being vulnerable (which I always try to be) I would say that I am also scared and sad to leave Arizona. It has been a wonderful place. My husband and I have spent our first married years here, and bought our first home. It took us 5 years to feel like we are well connected and truly happy here, and that’s hard to walk away from. I also don’t have to tell you that the deep South and the Southwest are very different, so I’m hoping to bring a little bit of this west coast mindset with me.
Continued support—
Thank you again for supporting me, my family, and my business! I look forward to continuing to support you, and be supported by you. I have loved my caseload here and will be continuing to take new clients from Arizona.
With immense gratitude,
Kelsey
PS — If you want to see me in person before going I will make that work!
