Therapy for Moms

Motherhood, parenting, perinatal and everything in between

you deserve support

Moms, you deserve support and to be held in this therapy space. Therapy can be one of the best gifts you give to yourself.

Many of my clients are moms or parents of some orientation. I have seen firsthand the very dynamic impact that parenthood has on one’s life, and overall wellbeing. I’m trained work with my clients holistically, which takes into account your experiences, values, and the contexts you exist in — familial, spiritual, community, etc. I can help you work through your problems, what’s on your plate, and the stress innate to parenting.

making space for yourself

Being a mom is incredibly important and life changing. Motherhood, in all its beauty and wonder, is demanding on women and unfortunately our society has not valued motherhood or helped to support mental health needs for moms. It can be hard, overwhelming, scary, and isolating. My experience as a therapist has shown me that motherhood does not usually feel as we expect it to.

Taking the time to slow down, feel your feelings, explore your thoughts is essential for your wellbeing. Many moms find that this therapy space is cathartic and relieving, which is important to prioritize — because the duties of motherhood don’t stop.

Being a good mom doesn’t mean losing yourself. I’m here to remind you of your validity as a person and work towards wellbeing.

Support designed for you

For moms, therapy is a safe space to express your feelings, and have them heard and held. Therapy with me is an invitation to be present in your experiences. I also believe therapy is a process of getting to know yourself, and learning how to better take care of that person.

I show up in my sessions with authentic, honest, and direct support. My process is unique to the client I am working with; I integrate and tailor my approach to work for you as I learn more about you, your patterns, and your strengths. My approach in my therapy work integrates research and evidence based practices. I am empathetic, curious, and passionate.

I accept you in your full humanness, as a person and as a mother. I will help you to be self compassionate about your humanness, too. I will be your biggest champion.

I’m so glad you are taking the brave step to ask for support.
