Hi, my name is Kelsey Riddle (she/her) and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I provide Telehealth services to clients located in Tennessee, Arizona, and North Carolina; and in-person sessions in East Nashville.

I show up in my sessions with authentic, honest, and direct support. My first goal in therapy is to earn your trust. My process is unique to the client I am working with; I integrate and tailor my approach to work for you as I learn more about you, your patterns, and your strengths. I am empathetic and passionate, and I will be your biggest champion in your work and in your life.

My passion is to help my clients restore connection and repair their most important relationships, especially their relationship with themselves. I believe all people need love and connection, and that unfortunately we can become stuck in negative cycles. I help my clients to have new healthy interactions and to experience a deeper, more vulnerable, connection. Though change is not easy and often frightening, I believe the best thing I can do for my clients is to help them to have the strength and worthiness to ask for connection, and to in-turn accept. I have witnessed firsthand the power of love, compassion, and forgiveness. I believe that relationships can be mended through the process of therapy. I help my clients to heal the wounds they carry internally through processing their past experiences and traumas. I will also help you process, integrate, and move through life as things come up presently. I take an attachment and trauma-informed approach to this work.

I’m continually learning and growing as a person and therapist. I attend trainings regularly and stay up to date on the latest research. I specialize in several areas of therapy using empirically supported models of therapy. Please see more information on the Therapy Specialties page to learn more about my work. I will provide the resources I can to you to help you on your path. Please check out my ‘Resources’ tab for curated sources for a variety of topics.

Everyone deserves to feel loved and important.

It’s my passion to help my clients to have the relationships they desire.

I’m a champion for love and connection.

Beliefs, Values, & Activism

It is my intention to continue to do my own work as a person, as a member of my community, and as a good steward of the planet. For me, this includes activism and community engagement to support families, LGBTQ+ rights, Black Lives Matter and Anti-Racism, intersectional feminism and other gender equality, and actively work for the anti-oppression of all marginalized folx.

Core values:

  • Connection: I believe all people universally long for, need, and deserve connection from others. Connection is healing and lack of connection is often the root of our pain.

  • Integrity: I guide my personal values and work with integrity, and believe that being able to live life within our belief systems and with integrity is core to a healthy sense of self.

  • Community: I believe that mental health and overall well-being is fostered in a sense of community. A relationship to community is one where you reciprocate care for one another.

  • Acceptance: I believe in radical acceptance of all people, and I am intolerant of discrimination, hate, and oppression.

 In my personal life..

Kelsey-34.jpg

My husband and our dog live in East Nashville, TN. We spent the last 5 years living in Phoenix, Arizona. Moving to Tennessee is something we’re really excited about; it’s bringing us closer to family and closer to the area of the country we grew up in and love. My husband and I loved our time in Arizona; we really loved living in such a beautiful place and carved out a sweet little community there in Arizona. However, we’re very happy to be getting back to the southeast which is home to most of our family. We’re looking forward to creating a network in the Nashville area!

We have a 8 year old golden doodle, Ruadh (pronounced Roy) whom we adore. I work full time as a therapist and I have been practicing as a therapist for over 7 years. I worked at a great practice in Scottsdale for 4 years, and opened this practice virtually in February, 2021. I had worked full time virtually since March, 2020 due to COVID19, and making the transition felt natural and has been one of the things I feel most proud of.

We enjoy camping, having friends over for a dinner party, playing with our dog, and tinkering in our garden. I enjoy good food and drinks with good conversation. I’m a firm believer that space for your self interests and hobbies is essential to happiness, contentment and wellbeing and spend my time, energy and other resources to invest in them.
